FL1 x Kiddrae254

Sometimes you get into a creative rut. It’s just hard to stay motivated. Here, Hance Taplin, better known as Kiddrae gives a little insight on how to get through those tough times. Enjoy!

Direction

Lately, I’ve been trying to find different ways to walk home from the train station. On my way, I’ve walked by this wall countless times and finally decided to shoot it. It gives me a sense of comfort. I know that sounds a little bit off but I think it’s a hidden message.

There’s so many roads that lead to so many different paths. It’s hard not to be afraid of walking in the wrong direction.

Puppy Paaarty

As you can see, things started off rough for our leetle one. But he held on strong and showed off his brains and turned out to be the life of this party. What a hell of a son we’ve got! We’re proud of him and plan to let him throw a puppy party again here soon. Don’t miss out!

FL1 x WINWEL

This is a video we shot up in the mountains of colorful Colorado. It was a really memorable experience. I’m very grateful to know both Michael Asante of FL1 and Thomas Welch of WINWEL. Each of them are working very hard to get our their dreams. I’m glad I had the opportunity to provide this visual for them. They’ve got some really neat things cooking and coming your way.

Amazing - Jay Fresh

So it’s finally here, the video for the “Amazing” track by Jay Fresh. We worked really hard on this video. I’m really grateful to have been a part of this piece of work. I want to say a big thanks to all the people who helped make this happen. Markus Pinyero, Hance Taplin, Taylor Jarrett, Jordan Johnson, Shane Darnell, Ben Schroeder, and all the kids who played their roles. This was a lot of fun to make. Make sure to check out Jay’s new project “The Delta Project” Jay Fresh vs Pretty Lights which is set to release soon.

WINWEL - Raton Pass, New Mexico

Finishing up a collaborative project between both Thomas Welch (WINWEL) and Michael Asante (FL1). This was shot up in the mountains of Raton Pass in New Mexico. It was probably one of the most beautiful road trips I’ve ever been on. I want to drive to Colorado more often. Maybe we’ll hit Aspen or Vail next!

Vintage Flea Market - New York, New York

Ro and I really like going to flea markets and vintage shops. This was one that a random friend told us about off of 25th St in Manhattan. There’s really nothing like flea markets in NY, you run into the craziest shit! I always find myself asking, “Who the hell owned this kind of stuff?!”

Lakeland Hills Skate Park - Dallas, Tx

I took this shot one afternoon while scouting for locations for our next video shoot. I told Jay to prove to me that he could really skate and I’m not even going to front, he threw down some pretty dope tricks. I was thoroughly impressed. (He’s still gay though!) ;)

Hecho.

I’ve been on hiatus from the blog game for a bit now, but I’m ready to get back into it and strong! A lot of you don’t know this, buuuuuut, I’ve been working on a side project for some time now. I’ve gone back and forth, up and down. At times, it’s been good and bad. But honestly, it’s been worth the wait.

I’ve always wanted to put something out in the world that was genuine, honest, and truly represented who I am as an individual. After saying all of this, I present to you “Hecho En Las Calles” or “Hecho” for short. You’re probably wondering why I chose the above image to begin the story. Honestly, it just reminded me of mail. Usually, when you get an envelope, you know it’s probably nothing special. But when a crate hits your door step, you’re dying to know what’s inside. And so, as the days and weeks go on, I’ll continue to give you glimpses of what is to come. I really think you’re going to enjoy it. So, I’m inviting you to stay close and be apart of this journey as it all begins to unfold.

Diana Elizeth Romero Castellano De Dubon

This is my best friend; my world; my rock; my love; my joy; my peace; my comfort! I don’t think I could have asked God for anyone greater. She’s strong! I mean, she’s had to put up with me for 25 years. If you know me, you know what I mean. I’ve had a lot of people tell me they love me in my life.  But she…she shows me! Everyday, and without condition. She has loved me in ways no one else can. She has done things for me that no one else could. Yet, I’m lying here hoping and praying that God would give her life again. That all the sickness and the disease would cease within her body. She deserves no pain, no suffering.

She’s going into surgery this Wednesday, October 26th (Rescheduled to Wednesday, November 2nd) and I’m asking that you all would be in accordance with myself and my family that all will be well with her. She was recently diagnosed with cancer in her throat, but we’re believing for complete healing and restoration of good health. So if you could, say a little prayer for her this week. Let’s believe together that she can beat the cancer. Thank you all for your love, your prayers, and support.
